- 2 ripe bananas
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mash the bananas until smooth.
- Stir in the melted butter and both sugars until combined.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing well.
- Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and stir to combine.
- Add the flour gradually, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
- Allow to cool before serving.
Notes
For best results, use very ripe bananas and avoid overbaking the cookies.
