- 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 0.5 cup brown sugar, packed
- 0.25 cup granulated sugar
- 0.5 cup mashed overripe banana (about 1 banana)
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1.5 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
- Cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the mashed banana, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Combine the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in a separate bowl.
- Fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Add the chocolate chips and fold until evenly distributed.
- Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spaced about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for about 10–12 minutes until edges are set and centers are soft.
- Cool on the baking sheets for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
