Description

Delightful cookies that combine the flavors of banana bread and chocolate chip cookies, soft and chewy with ripe bananas and chocolate chips.


Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup mashed overripe banana (about 1 banana)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1.5 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
  3. Cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Mix in the mashed banana, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Combine the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in a separate bowl.
  6. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  7. Add the chocolate chips and fold until evenly distributed.
  8. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spaced about 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for about 10–12 minutes until edges are set and centers are soft.
  10. Cool on the baking sheets for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
