- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 cup white granulated sugar
- 2 eggs (room temperature)
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 4 medium bananas
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 tsp cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a bread baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
- Mash the bananas in a large mixing bowl using a fork.
- Mix in the eggs, sugar, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.
- Combine the dry ingredients in a separate bowl: flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- Mix the dry ingredients into the banana mixture until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped walnuts.
- Transfer the batter to the prepared baking dish.
- Bake for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool the bread for 10-15 minutes in the dish, then transfer to a wire rack.
- Slice and enjoy warm or at room temperature.
Notes
Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor. Do not overmix to avoid a dense loaf.
