Banana Croissant “French Toast” Casserole is a cozy make-ahead breakfast combining buttery croissants, ripe bananas, and creamy custard.
Ingredients
6 large croissants, torn into pieces
3 ripe bananas, sliced
4 large eggs
1 ½ cups milk
½ cup heavy cream
¼ cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
Instructions
1. Grease a baking dish and layer croissants with banana slices.
2. Whisk eggs, milk, cream, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt.
3. Pour mixture over croissants, press lightly, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
4. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
5. Bake uncovered 35–40 minutes until golden brown.
6. Cool 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Use day-old croissants for the best texture.
Refrigerate leftovers up to 3 days.
Customize with nuts, chocolate, or berries.
