Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pot: Start by selecting a large pot. Heat some oil over medium heat.
  2. Sauté Onions and Garlic: Add the chopped onions and minced garlic. Sauté until softened and fragrant, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Brown the Beef: Add the pieces of beef to the pot and brown on all sides to add flavor.
  4. Add Liquids and Seasoning: Pour in beef broth and water, add soy sauce and grated ginger. Stir and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Simmer the Soup: Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours for tender beef.
