Instructions
- Prepare the Pot: Start by selecting a large pot. Heat some oil over medium heat.
- Sauté Onions and Garlic: Add the chopped onions and minced garlic. Sauté until softened and fragrant, about 3-5 minutes.
- Brown the Beef: Add the pieces of beef to the pot and brown on all sides to add flavor.
- Add Liquids and Seasoning: Pour in beef broth and water, add soy sauce and grated ginger. Stir and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Simmer the Soup: Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours for tender beef.
- Cook the Noodles: In the last 10 minutes, add your choice of noodles and let cook until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
