Description
Rich, chewy Black Forest Cookies packed with chocolate and cherries an easy dessert that tastes like cake in cookie form!
Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
3/4 cup dried cherries
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
3. Cream butter and sugars together until light and fluffy.
4. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
5. Combine dry ingredients and fold into wet mixture.
6. Stir in chocolate chips and dried cherries.
7. Scoop dough and place on baking sheet.
8. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are set.
9. Cool on tray 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.
Notes
For a mocha twist, add 1 tbsp instant coffee.
Freeze unbaked dough for up to 3 months.
