Description

A quick and flavorful dish featuring tender beef, vibrant vegetables, and a spicy kick from black pepper, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound beef (sliced thinly)
  • 2 tablespoons black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 bell pepper (sliced)
  • 1 onion (sliced)
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (e.g., broccoli, carrots, snap peas)
  • Cooked rice or noodles (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef: In a bowl, combine the sliced beef, black pepper, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well to coat the beef evenly. Cover the bowl and let it marinate for about 15 minutes.
  2. Heat the oil: Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook the beef: Add the marinated beef to the pan and stir-fry for about 4-5 minutes or until browned and cooked through.
  4. Stir-fry vegetables: In the same pan, add the sliced bell pepper, onion, and mixed vegetables. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Combine everything: Return the cooked beef to the pan with the vegetables and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Serve: Serve hot over rice or toss with noodles.

Notes

Customize with your favorite vegetables or adjust spice levels. Can be made gluten-free with tamari.
