Ingredients

- 2 lb ground beef
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 2.5 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp salt
- 2.5 tsp black pepper
- 1.75 cups cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 16 oz tater tots
- 1.75 cups cheddar cheese (extra for topping)
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat for 8-10 minutes until browned.
- Season the beef with minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and onion powder.
- Transfer the seasoned beef mixture to the crockpot, spreading it evenly.
- Add the cream of mushroom soup and mix it in thoroughly.
- Layer half of the shredded cheddar cheese over the beef mixture.
- Top with a single layer of frozen tater tots.
- Cook in the crockpot on low for 2 to 2.5 hours.
- Finish by topping with the remaining cheddar cheese 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
Feel free to add veggies or try different cheeses. Check for doneness at 2 hours.
