Description

A comforting casserole combining ground beef, creamy soup, and crispy tater tots topped with melted cheddar cheese.


Ingredients

  • 2 lb ground beef
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 2.5 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1.75 cups cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 16 oz tater tots
  • 1.75 cups cheddar cheese (extra for topping)

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat for 8-10 minutes until browned.
  2. Season the beef with minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and onion powder.
  3. Transfer the seasoned beef mixture to the crockpot, spreading it evenly.
  4. Add the cream of mushroom soup and mix it in thoroughly.
  5. Layer half of the shredded cheddar cheese over the beef mixture.
  6. Top with a single layer of frozen tater tots.
  7. Cook in the crockpot on low for 2 to 2.5 hours.
  8. Finish by topping with the remaining cheddar cheese 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Feel free to add veggies or try different cheeses. Check for doneness at 2 hours.
