A quick, flavorful Chinese Green Beans With Garlic Sauce recipe featuring tender-crisp beans in a savory garlic soy glaze.
Ingredients
1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp sesame oil
2 tsp sugar
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp grated ginger
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Whisk together soy sauce, vinegar, cornstarch, sesame oil, sugar, garlic, and ginger.
2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
3. Add green beans and sauté for 5–7 minutes until blistered.
4. Pour in sauce and toss to coat evenly.
5. Add 2 tbsp water, cover, and steam for 2–3 minutes.
6. Serve hot, topped with sesame seeds or scallions.
Notes
You can prepare the sauce ahead of time.
For extra spice, add chili flakes or chili oil.
