Ingredients

1 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar

3 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

3/4 cup cocoa powder

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 tsp salt

1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream

8 oz dark chocolate, melted

3 tbsp powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch pan.

2. Whisk butter and sugars until smooth.

3. Add eggs and vanilla; whisk until fluffy.

4. Fold in cocoa powder, flour, and salt.

5. Bake 25–30 minutes, then cool completely.

6. Whip cream, sugar, and vanilla until soft peaks form.

7. Fold in melted chocolate.

8. Spread mousse over cooled brownies.

9. Chill 2 hours before serving.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, use coconut cream instead of heavy cream.

Dust with cocoa powder or top with chocolate shavings before serving.
