  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. Combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, unsweetened cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Mix together the vegetable oil, vanilla extract, buttermilk, and egg in another bowl.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and gently mix until just combined.
  5. Fill the cupcake liners about 2/3 full with batter.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool the cupcakes in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  8. Beat together creamy peanut butter and softened butter, then gradually add powdered sugar and milk for frosting.
  9. Frost the cooled cupcakes with peanut butter frosting using a piping bag or knife.
