Churro Saltine Toffee Recipe: Ultimate 20-Minute Sweet & Salty Dessert

Description

Churro Saltine Toffee, a simple to make insanely delicious sweet and salty candy that some call ‘crack’ because it’s so addictive!


Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Sugar

  • 1 tsp Cinnamon

  • 40 Saltine Crackers

  • 1 cup Salted Butter

  • 1 cup Brown Sugar

  • 2 cups Ghirardelli White Chocolate Chips


Instructions

 

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

  • Line a 10 x 15 baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray with non-stick spray.

  • In a small bowl, whisk together sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.

  • Place crackers in a single layer on the baking sheet.

  • Combine butter and brown sugar in a saucepan, stirring frequently, and bring to a boil. Keep stirring continuously for 5 minutes after boil is reached.

  • Pour the mixture over the crackers and spread evenly.

  • Place the pan in the oven and bake for 5 minutes.

  • Remove from the oven an let sit until the crackers settle, just a minute or two. Using a butter knife, push any crackers that are overlapping back into place. Then immediately sprinkle white chocolate chips over the top.

  • Let sit until you are able to spread the melted white chocolate chips over the saltines.

  • Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the melted chocolate.

  • Cut or break into pieces to serve.
