Description
Churro Saltine Toffee, a simple to make insanely delicious sweet and salty candy that some call ‘crack’ because it’s so addictive!
Ingredients
1/4 cup Sugar
1 tsp Cinnamon
40 Saltine Crackers
1 cup Salted Butter
1 cup Brown Sugar
2 cups Ghirardelli White Chocolate Chips
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Line a 10 x 15 baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray with non-stick spray.
In a small bowl, whisk together sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
Place crackers in a single layer on the baking sheet.
Combine butter and brown sugar in a saucepan, stirring frequently, and bring to a boil. Keep stirring continuously for 5 minutes after boil is reached.
Pour the mixture over the crackers and spread evenly.
Place the pan in the oven and bake for 5 minutes.
Remove from the oven an let sit until the crackers settle, just a minute or two. Using a butter knife, push any crackers that are overlapping back into place. Then immediately sprinkle white chocolate chips over the top.
Let sit until you are able to spread the melted white chocolate chips over the saltines.
Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the melted chocolate.
Cut or break into pieces to serve.
