Ingredients

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup (or vegetarian alternative)
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • To taste: salt and pepper
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Gather your ingredients.
  2. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  3. Prepare a 9×13 inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
  4. Mix the hashbrowns, chopped onions, cheese, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, and ranch dressing in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Add the melted butter and stir.
  6. Transfer the mixture into the baking dish.
  7. Bake for about 45-50 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
  8. Check for doneness and cover with foil if edges brown too quickly.
