  • ½ teaspoon dried parsley
  • To taste salt
  • To taste black pepper
  • ½ cup diced onions (optional)
  • ½ cup chopped green bell peppers (optional)
  • A pinch cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Start by heating 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Once the oil is hot, toss in the diced onions and chopped green bell peppers. Cook for about 3 to 5 minutes until soft and fragrant.
  3. Next, add 1 cup of long-grain white rice to the pan and stir for about 2 minutes.
  4. After toasting the rice, pour in 2 cups of broth and add 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of onion powder, ½ teaspoon of paprika, and ½ teaspoon of dried parsley. Adjust salt and black pepper to taste.
  5. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil, then reduce heat to low and cover to simmer for about 18 to 20 minutes.
  6. After cooking, remove from heat and let sit covered for 5 minutes.
  7. Finally, use a fork to fluff the rice before serving.
