  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated cheese (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef: Start by heating a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef, chopped onion, and minced garlic. Keep stirring until browned.
  2. Drain the grease: Once browned, carefully drain any excess fat from the skillet.
  3. Add tomatoes and broth: Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and beef broth.
  4. Add seasoning and pasta: Mix in the Italian seasoning, bring to a boil, then add elbow macaroni and chopped bell pepper.
  5. Simmer the dish: Reduce heat to low, cover, and let simmer for about 20 minutes.
  6. Season and serve: Once macaroni is tender, taste and season with salt and pepper. Serve hot, optionally topped with grated cheese.
