Description
A creamy, crispy Green Bean Casserole perfect for holidays or weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
3/4 cup milk
1 cup crispy fried onions
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp butter (for greasing)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
3. Blanch green beans for 5 minutes; drain.
4. Mix soup, milk, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
5. Stir in beans and half the crispy onions.
6. Transfer to baking dish and bake for 25 minutes.
7. Top with remaining onions and bake 5 more minutes.
8. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
You can use frozen green beans if preferred.
Make ahead by assembling and refrigerating up to 24 hours before baking.
