Ingredients

1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed

1 can (10 oz) cream of mushroom soup

3/4 cup milk

1 cup crispy fried onions

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tbsp olive oil

1/4 tsp garlic powder


Instructions

1. Blanch green beans for 3–4 minutes, then cool in ice water.

2. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

3. Whisk soup, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder in a bowl.

4. Combine beans with the sauce mixture and half the onions.

5. Transfer to casserole dish and bake for 25 minutes.

6. Top with remaining onions and bake 5 more minutes until golden.

7. Cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

You can prepare this casserole a day ahead—just add the crispy onions before baking.
