- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup salsa verde
- 4 slices pepper jack cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, cumin, salt and pepper.
- Rub the mixture over the chicken breasts until evenly coated.
- Place the seasoned chicken on the grill and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side.
- Add a slice of pepper jack cheese during the last minute of grilling.
- Remove the chicken and top with salsa verde.
- Garnish with cilantro and serve warm.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes before grilling. Use fresh salsa verde for the best taste.
