Description
Homemade Butterfly Pizza is a fun and artistic twist on traditional pizza shaped like a butterfly, loaded with fresh toppings, and baked to crispy perfection.
Ingredients
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 cup warm water
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp instant yeast
½ tsp salt
1 cup tomato sauce
1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella
½ cup sliced bell peppers
¼ cup sliced black olives
Fresh basil leaves
Instructions
1. Mix warm water, yeast, sugar, and olive oil. Let it rest for 5 minutes.
2. Add flour and salt, knead into dough, and let rise for 1 hour.
3. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C).
4. Shape dough into a butterfly design.
5. Spread tomato sauce, add cheese and toppings.
6. Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden.
7. Cool for 3 minutes, slice, and serve.
Notes
You can make the dough ahead and store it in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
For extra crispiness, use a pizza stone preheated in the oven.
