Description

Delightful homemade treats with a creamy peanut butter center and rich chocolate coating, perfect for Easter or any time of the year.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups milk chocolate chips or melting wafers
  • 1 Tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 pinch sea salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Peanut Butter Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine creamy peanut butter and melted unsalted butter. Gradually add sifted powdered sugar while stirring, then incorporate vanilla extract until a thick dough forms.
  2. Shape the Eggs: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Scoop 1 to 2 tablespoons of the mixture, roll it into an oval shape, and flatten slightly. Place on the baking sheet and freeze for 30 minutes.
  3. Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine milk chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  4. Dip the Eggs in Chocolate: Remove chilled eggs from the freezer and dip each into melted chocolate, tapping off excess. Place back on the parchment-lined tray.
  5. Set the Chocolate: Refrigerate the eggs for at least 30 minutes until the chocolate is set.
  6. Serve and Enjoy: Your Homemade Peanut Butter Eggs are ready to be enjoyed!
