Description
The bright, grassy flavor of matcha tea pairs well with avocado in this fun twist on the classic matcha latte. Avocado is blended with vanilla into the milk before pouring over top of ice and topping with your matcha.
Ingredients
1 tsp. matcha
1/4 cup water, hot
1/3 ripe, fresh avocado, halved, pitted and peeled
1 cup milk
2 tsp. honey
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 cup ice
Instructions
Sift matcha into a small bowl. Add the hot water and whisk well until no clumps of tea powder remain. Set aside.
Add the milk, avocado, honey, and vanilla extract to a small blender and puree until smooth.
Add ice to a tall glass. Pour avocado milk over top of the ice and then finish by pouring the matcha on last.
