Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the thinly sliced onions for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and caramelized.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Brown the ground beef in the skillet, breaking it apart until fully browned.
- Drain any excess fat from the pan.
- Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, thyme (if using), salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Toast the hamburger buns until golden brown.
- Assemble each bun with the beef mixture and sprinkle with shredded Swiss cheese.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired.
