Description
A delightful dessert combining creamy cheesecake and juicy blueberries, all in an easy-to-make cake that’s perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 30 oz blueberry pie filling (about two 15 oz cans)
- 0.5–1 cup fresh blueberries (optional, for extra fruit burst)
- 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1 large egg
- 0.25 cup granulated sugar
- 1 box (15–16.5 oz) yellow or lemon cake mix
- 0.5 cup butter (cold and thinly sliced or grated)
- whipped cream or vanilla ice cream (for serving, as needed)
Instructions
- Prepare the Oven and Dish: Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
- Layer the Blueberry Filling: Spread the blueberry pie filling evenly across the bottom of your prepared dish and sprinkle fresh blueberries on top if desired.
- Make the Cream Cheese Mixture: In a medium bowl, add softened cream cheese, the egg, and granulated sugar. Beat until smooth and creamy.
- Add the Cream Cheese Mixture: Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the blueberry filling, leaving some filling visible for a marbled effect.
- Top with Cake Mix: Evenly distribute the yellow or lemon cake mix over the cream cheese layer without mixing it in.
- Add the Butter: Scatter thinly sliced or grated butter pieces over the top of the cake mix.
- Bake the Cake: Place your dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 40-45 minutes, until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
- Cool Before Serving: Allow the cake to cool for at least 15 minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for a delightful treat. Refrigerate leftovers for 3-4 days.
