- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
- Mix together the all-purpose flour, powdered sugar, and salt in a medium bowl.
- Cut in the softened butter using a fork or pastry cutter until crumbly.
- Press the crumbly mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- Bake the crust for 15 minutes until lightly golden.
- Whisk together the granulated sugar, eggs, lemon juice, lemon zest, and baking powder in another bowl until smooth.
- Pour the lemon mixture over the baked crust.
- Bake for an additional 20-25 minutes until the center is firm.
- Cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before cutting into squares.
