- 9 lasagna noodles
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
- 2 cups fresh spinach
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef. Once browned, add the onion and garlic. Cook until the beef is no longer pink and drain excess fat.
- Break the lasagna noodles into smaller pieces and add them to the skillet.
- Pour the marinara sauce and add 3 cups of water. Stir well to combine.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce heat to low and cover. Cook for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in the spinach and cook until wilted.
- Add dollops of ricotta and sprinkle mozzarella on top. Cover and cook for an additional 5 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
- Season with salt and pepper and serve warm.
