- 1 ½ cups Oreo cookie crumbs
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- ½ cup whipped cream
- Additional Oreo cookies for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
- Combine the Oreo cookie crumbs with melted butter in a mixing bowl.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form the crust.
- Beat the softened cream cheese and sugar together until smooth.
- Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
- Incorporate the eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed until just blended.
- Stir in the sour cream until smooth.
- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the prepared crust.
- Bake for 55-60 minutes until the center is set.
- Cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
- Top with whipped cream and additional Oreo cookies before serving.
Notes
For an intense Oreo flavor, crush extra Oreo cookies and mix them into the cheesecake batter or sprinkle them on top.
