Crispy, garlicky, and flavorful, these Oven Roasted Garlic Cabbage Steaks are an easy, budget-friendly side or plant-based main.
Ingredients
1 medium green cabbage
3 tbsp olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
Optional: pinch chili flakes
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet.
2. Slice cabbage into 1–1.5-inch thick steaks, keeping core intact.
3. Mix olive oil, garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper.
4. Brush both sides of cabbage steaks with garlic oil mixture.
5. Arrange on baking sheet without overlapping.
6. Roast for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
7. Cool 3 minutes before serving.
Notes
Try topping with fresh herbs, cheese, or tahini drizzle for variations.
Store leftovers in fridge up to 3 days. Reheat in oven for crispiness.
