- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup shredded cheese (such as provolone or cheddar)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
- Add your sliced steak to the hot skillet and cook for about 3-5 minutes until browned.
- Remove the steak from the skillet and set it aside on a plate.
- Sauté the sliced onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms for about 5-7 minutes until tender.
- Return the browned steak to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables, mixing everything together.
- Add garlic powder, along with salt and pepper to taste, and stir until heated through.
- Top the mixture with the shredded cheese and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.
- Serve the dish warm, optionally with crusty bread on the side.
