  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (such as provolone or cheddar)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
  2. Add your sliced steak to the hot skillet and cook for about 3-5 minutes until browned.
  3. Remove the steak from the skillet and set it aside on a plate.
  4. Sauté the sliced onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms for about 5-7 minutes until tender.
  5. Return the browned steak to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables, mixing everything together.
  6. Add garlic powder, along with salt and pepper to taste, and stir until heated through.
  7. Top the mixture with the shredded cheese and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.
  8. Serve the dish warm, optionally with crusty bread on the side.
