Ingredients
3 overripe bananas, mashed
1/3 cup melted butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 beaten egg
1 tsp baking soda
Pinch of salt
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Optional: 1/2 cup chocolate chips or chopped nuts
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
2. Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line with parchment paper
3. Mash bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth
4. Mix in melted butter, vanilla, sugar, and beaten egg
5. Add baking soda, salt, and flour, and stir until just combined
6. Fold in optional chocolate chips or nuts
7. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan
8. Bake for 50–60 minutes
9. Check doneness with a toothpick; it should come out clean
10. Let bread cool in pan for 10-15 minutes
11. Transfer to wire rack to cool before slicing
