Description
A fast and flavorful vegetable side dish featuring crisp bok choy coated in a bold ginger chili sauce.
Ingredients
4–6 baby bok choy heads
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
1 tsp chili flakes
1 tbsp oil for cooking
Instructions
1. Wash and dry the bok choy thoroughly.
2. Whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, honey, and chili flakes.
3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high.
4. Place bok choy cut-side down and sear 2–3 minutes.
5. Flip bok choy and pour sauce over it.
6. Cook another 2–3 minutes until tender-crisp.
7. Let rest 2 minutes before serving.
Notes
Use baby bok choy for the best tenderness.
Add chili oil for extra heat.
For a stickier sauce, simmer an additional 1–2 minutes.
