Delightful muffins infused with fragrant garlic and rosemary, perfect as a side for any meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
- Optional: Sea salt for topping
Instructions
- Activate the yeast: In a bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Stir gently and let it sit for about 5 minutes.
- Mix dry ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour and salt.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients: Once your yeast mixture is foamy, add it to the flour mixture along with the olive oil, minced garlic, and chopped rosemary. Mix until cohesive.
- Knead the dough: Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Let the dough rise: Lightly grease a bowl, place the dough inside, cover, and let it rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven: As the dough rises, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Shape the muffins: Once risen, punch down the dough gently, divide into equal portions for the muffin tin.
- Prepare the muffin tins: Grease your muffin tins lightly, place each portion in the tins, and let rise for another 20 minutes.
- Add toppings: Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top of each muffin.
- Bake the muffins: Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool before serving.
