Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled

  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups mashed ripe bananas (about 34 bananas)
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a 9×5-inch loaf pan with grease or cooking spray and line with parchment paper.
  3. Mix the dry ingredients: whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients: whisk melted butter with vegetable oil and sugar, then add eggs and vanilla.
  5. Fold in the mashed bananas.
  6. Combine the wet and dry mixtures gently until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  9. Bake for 50-60 minutes, checking for doneness at around 50 minutes.
  10. Cool the bread in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
