Instructions
- Prepare Your Ingredients: Start by measuring out all the ingredients for a smooth cooking experience.
- Sear the Short Ribs: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and brown the beef short ribs on all sides for about 2–3 minutes each.
- Layer the Aromatics: Spread the sliced onion and minced garlic across the bottom of the crockpot.
- Add the Ribs to the Crockpot: Place the seared ribs on top of the aromatics in the crockpot.
- Mix the Sauce Ingredients: Combine beef broth, tomato sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, paprika, dried thyme, black pepper, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Drizzle the Sauce Over the Ribs: Pour the sauce mixture over the ribs ensuring it seeps down to the onions and garlic.
- Cook the Ribs: Secure the lid and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 to 5 hours.
