Ingredients
2.5 lbs beef brisket
1 small head green cabbage, cut into wedges
4 large carrots, chopped
4 medium potatoes, quartered
1 onion, sliced
3 garlic cloves, crushed
1 tbsp mustard seeds
1 tbsp coriander seeds
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp salt
Water or broth, as needed
Instructions
1. Trim and pat the brisket dry.
2. Rub with spice mix and rest 20 minutes.
3. Layer onions, carrots, and potatoes in the slow cooker.
4. Place brisket on top, fat side up.
5. Add broth until meat is half covered.
6. Cook on LOW for 8–9 hours.
7. Add cabbage during the last hour.
8. Rest meat for 10 minutes before slicing.
9. Serve warm with your favorite sides.
