A beloved classic cookie that combines the rich flavor of peanut butter with the sweet, chocolatey goodness of Hershey Kisses.

- 1–1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- Additional granulated sugar for rolling
- 30 unwrapped Hershey Kisses
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line two baking sheets with silicone mats or parchment paper.
- In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Cream together the margarine, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and beat until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix on low speed until just combined.
- Using a cookie scoop, scoop the dough into approximately 1-inch balls and roll in additional granulated sugar.
- Arrange the dough balls on the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each ball.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 13-14 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and gently press a Hershey Kiss into the center of each cookie while still warm.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely.
Notes
For added texture, you can experiment with crunchy peanut butter or different types of nut butters.
