These Homemade Apple Cider Donuts Smell Like an Orchard in the Oven soft, spiced, and baked to golden perfection with a sweet cinnamon-sugar coating.
Ingredients
1 ½ cups apple cider (reduced to ½ cup)
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp nutmeg
1 egg
½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup melted butter
½ cup milk
½ cup sugar (for coating)
1 tsp cinnamon (for coating)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Reduce apple cider to ½ cup by simmering.
3. Whisk dry ingredients in one bowl.
4. Mix wet ingredients separately and add cider.
5. Combine wet and dry ingredients.
6. Pour into greased donut pan.
7. Bake for 10–12 minutes.
8. Brush with melted butter and coat in cinnamon sugar.
Notes
You can use apple juice reduced with cinnamon if cider isn’t available.
For a vegan version, replace butter with coconut oil and milk with oat milk.
