- 4 thick chicken breasts, skinless and boneless
- 4 tbsp yogurt
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1/2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sweet paprika
- 1 tsp pul biber or extra paprika
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp dried parsley or Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp garlic granules
- 1/2 tsp pepper
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken breasts by making shallow diagonal cuts on each.
- Pat the chicken dry with a paper towel.
- Make the marinade by mixing yogurt, lemon juice, olive oil, tomato paste, Dijon mustard, lemon zest, salt, sweet paprika, pul biber, cumin, dried parsley, garlic granules, and pepper in a container.
- Add the chicken breasts to the marinade and ensure they are well-coated.
- Let the chicken marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 15 minutes before cooking.
- Prepare the air fryer basket with damp parchment paper or a rack.
- Cook the chicken breasts in the air fryer basket for about 10 minutes.
- Flip the chicken and cook for another 10-12 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Remove from the air fryer and let it rest for 2-5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For best flavor, marinate the chicken for up to 2-4 hours. Ensure chicken breasts are evenly thick for even cooking.
