- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 cup white granulated sugar
- 2 eggs (room temperature)
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 4 medium bananas
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 tsp cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
- Mash the bananas in a large mixing bowl.
- Whisk in the eggs, sugar, melted butter, and vanilla extract into the mashed bananas.
- Combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt in another bowl.
- Add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients and mix gently.
- Fold in the chopped walnuts.
- Pour the batter into the greased baking dish.
- Bake for 55-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool the bread in the pan, then on a wire rack before slicing.
Notes
Use overripe bananas for the best flavor and avoid overmixing the batter.
