Description

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare the cupcake tray with liners.
  2. Mix the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract; mix on medium speed for about 2 minutes.
  4. Incorporate the boiling water into the batter until smooth.
  5. Fill each cupcake liner about two-thirds full with the batter.
  6. Bake for about 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool the cupcakes for 10 minutes in the tray, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
