- 1/2 cup Vegetable Oil
- 1/2 cup Butter
- 1/4 cup Water
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 2 large Eggs
- 1/2 cup Chopped Nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare a 9×9 inch baking pan by greasing it with butter or lining it with parchment paper.
- Mix the dry ingredients: whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
- Melt the butter and oil in a saucepan on low heat until smooth, then remove from heat and cool.
- Combine the melted butter and oil with granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Add the water and mix until smooth.
- Combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture gradually, stirring gently.
- Add the chocolate chips and nuts (if using) and fold them into the batter.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a skewer inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack until fully cooled.
- Cut into squares and enjoy!
