Description

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a 9×9 inch baking pan by greasing it with butter or lining it with parchment paper.
  3. Mix the dry ingredients: whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
  4. Melt the butter and oil in a saucepan on low heat until smooth, then remove from heat and cool.
  5. Combine the melted butter and oil with granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  6. Add the water and mix until smooth.
  7. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture gradually, stirring gently.
  8. Add the chocolate chips and nuts (if using) and fold them into the batter.
  9. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a skewer inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  11. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack until fully cooled.
  12. Cut into squares and enjoy!

Notes
