- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Mix the flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
- Combine the dry mixture into the creamed mixture gradually.
- Add the chocolate chips, folding them into the dough.
- Prepare rounded tablespoons of dough on ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes until edges are golden brown.
- Cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
Serve warm with milk or ice cream. Store in an airtight container to keep fresh.
