Description

Delicious and easy-to-make classic chocolate chip cookies with chewy centers and crispy edges.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Mix the flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Combine the dry mixture into the creamed mixture gradually.
  6. Add the chocolate chips, folding them into the dough.
  7. Prepare rounded tablespoons of dough on ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
  8. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes until edges are golden brown.
  9. Cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

Serve warm with milk or ice cream. Store in an airtight container to keep fresh.
