Description
Classic deviled eggs are a timeless appetizer with creamy filling and perfectly seasoned taste, perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients
Scale
- 6 hard-boiled eggs
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- Salt to taste
- Paprika for garnish
Instructions
- Peel the hard-boiled eggs. Start by gently tapping each egg on a hard surface to crack the shell, then peel off the shell under running water.
- Cut them in half lengthwise. Using a sharp knife, carefully slice each peeled egg in half from top to bottom.
- Remove the yolks. Gently scoop out the yellow yolks with a small spoon and place them into a mixing bowl.
- Mash the yolks. Using a fork, mash the egg yolks until they are crumbly.
- Mix in the mayonnaise, mustard, and salt. Add the mayonnaise and mustard to the mashed yolks, along with a pinch of salt.
- Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg white halves. You can use a spoon or a piping bag.
- Sprinkle with paprika for garnish. Add a light sprinkle of paprika over the filled eggs.
- Serve chilled. Place the deviled eggs on a plate and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Notes
Use fresh eggs for easier peeling. You can adjust the flavorings and try different toppings to personalize your deviled eggs.
