- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 2 cups shredded cooked chicken
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- 2 cups milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions, then drain.
- Combine cream cheese and milk in a large saucepan over medium heat until smooth.
- Add the shredded cheddar cheese and stir until melted.
- Mix the cooked macaroni, shredded chicken, BBQ sauce, salt, and pepper into the cheese mixture.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish, spreading evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
- Garnish with chopped green onions if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
This dish is perfect for busy weeknights and can be made ahead of time. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days.
