  • 1/3 cup coffee (80 ml)
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (226 grams)
  • 3.54.5 cups powdered sugar (385495 grams)
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder (68 grams)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 34 tablespoons whipping cream (4560 ml)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare cupcake liners in a muffin tray.
  3. Mix the dry ingredients: flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients: vegetable oil, sugar, egg, vanilla, and buttermilk, and mix well.
  5. Add the coffee slowly to the wet mixture.
  6. Combine the dry and wet ingredients carefully until smooth.
  7. Fill each cupcake liner about 2/3 full.
  8. Bake for 18-20 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool the cupcakes in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  10. Beat the butter in a mixing bowl until creamy.
  11. Add sifted cocoa powder and mix.
  12. Gradually add powdered sugar and whipping cream until smooth.
  13. Frost the cooled cupcakes with the chocolate frosting.
