Instructions

  1. Season the chuck roast with salt and pepper.
  2. Chop the carrots, potatoes, and onion; place them in the slow cooker.
  3. Sear the roast on all sides in a hot skillet until browned.
  4. Combine the seared roast with the vegetables in the slow cooker.
  5. Add minced garlic, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce over the roast.
